Chapter 1 Serene Andaman

Image
Nomad's nomadism - first step in Andmans, land of Islands…    I don’t live in past,. Present where I belong. Future can wait for me.  My chariot has arrived to take me to future... Andaman and Nicobar Island, one can say a part of India, but a beautiful piece of nature with mix of unpopulated blue ocean and Mediterranean  alike jungle which is completely different than mainland India for those who love exploring beyond explored and always wanted to live in partial seclusion. A set of 500 + islands with handful of them are inhabited is waiting for you to explore.  You will find lots of information about Andamans on Google (Jai Google Mata).  Not many have written their experiences while travelling deep in Andaman. Everyone has written facts and figures, timing of ferries, hotels to eat and stay ... I am not going to repeat that  information which is already available, but I am taking you through a Backpacker's view point and the way he w

Chapter 2 - Andaman - land of jungles and beaches

Andaman - land of jungles and beaches Andaman is all about numerous  beaches and jungle all around. Tourists from mainland take time from their busy schedule. visit the popular beaches and leave back to mainland to get more busy in their day-to-day life. If one has to soak in Andaman, must leave their busy minds back home and stay here for few days.  Life in Andamans has to sink in you slowly. You can’t just touch and feel the core of it. One can not judge Andamans’ natural beauty and go gaga about thats like every tourist does.   I was ready for Andamans much before I planned it. Limiting my needs. If anything essential is not available, don’t crave for it, just live without it and you will get used to it. On the first day, I saw the common toilets and had thought of asking for upgrade, but as soon as couple of days passed by, I got used to it because they were clean and why do I need toilets for whole of 24 hour? Its just required twice or thrice in a day, so why cra

Chapter 3 - Land of Jarwas and North Andman

Nomad’s Nomadism reaches him in the land of Jarwas – Middle and further to North Andmans… A long journey to other side of Andamans. To take this long journey without a tour co-ordinator, you need to do your research beforehand. Find means and routes of travel. Rest you can explore on your way as and when it comes. Roads are in bad condition and under construction. Ferries are limited. Very few stay and food facilities. You need to go as basic as possible.      In my last visit, I had just visited four popular diving spots of Andamans and left. The purpose of last visit was to duck for deep dives in Andaman seas. Never thought, this place will become one of my milestone and will settle for longer period in everyone’s dream destination. As I was posting pics on social websites, there were reactions from friends. All of them were positive reactions with hint of jealousy, but everyone knew, I had taken a right call after slogging my ass for years in corporate life. Looking at

Chapter 4 - Highest peak of Andaman and Pristine Long Island

Exploring North and Middle andaman with scaling of Highest peak: Diglipur is a second biggest place in Andaman and Nicobar. According to me a mix of development and rural side of Andamans. One side covered by mountain range and another by sea shore, nestled a developing tourist destination of Andamans which is hardly on any tourist's plan. For tourists, Andaman and Nicobar revolves around Port Blair, Havelock and Neil. Maximum they will visit Baratang in Middle Andamans.     Diglipur's beach in the evening   Diglipur and around… Diglipur is a story of how early Nomads reaching new place and using the resources to earn their livelihood. Diglipur story takes a step beyond a Nomadic life. Story of human’s prosperity fighting the odds and prospering. After disembarking my bus at Diglipur market, called up my host who was hosting me for couple of nights for directions. I had pre-booked this hotel keeping my check-in flexible as there was no clue of reaching i
